Patient Simulators Market Size Worth US$D 4,284.03 Mn by 2028 says, The Insight Partners

January 19th, 2023 The Insight Partners Releases

According to The Insight Partners latest study on “Patient Simulators Market Forecast to 2028 – COVID-19 Impact and Global Analysis – by Product and End User,” the market is projected to reach US$ 4,284.03 million by 2028 from US$ 1,599.41 million in 2021; it is expected to register a CAGR of 15.2% from 2022 to 2028.

The report highlights the key factors driving the market and prominent players with their developments in the market. The global patient simulators market is majorly driven by the use of patient simulators for training purposes and an increase in demand for minimally invasive treatment methods. However, the high cost of patient simulators is hampering the market growth.

CAE Inc, Laerdal Medical AS, Gaumard Scientific Co Inc, Kyoto Kagaku Co Ltd, Surgical Science Sweden AB, Simulab Corp, Simulaids Ltd, Mentice AB, Limbs & Things Ltd, and VirtaMed AG are among the leading companies operating in the patient simulators market.

A patient simulator is a manikin used to train healthcare professionals and students to study human anatomy or function (physiology). Patient simulators can also be combined with computer software, replicating normal and abnormal bodily reactions to events, such as asthma attacks, and therapeutic interventions, including drug side effects. Simulated blood can be pumped into the veins through an intravenous (IV) tube. Patient simulators are life-like manikins that react physiologically like a normal human being. The simulators are specifically designed, keeping respiratory therapy, nursing, and emergency medical students in mind. Additionally, simulation is the only teaching method that provides repeated hands-on experience with real-time feedback in a safe, controlled environment without causing any harm or inconvenience to real patients.

The need for simulator training for in-service education of existing healthcare professionals is growing rapidly and has been amplified by the COVID-19 pandemic. A study published by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) found that training with the simulator is as effective as clinical training with a patient in training nursing students. NCSBN authorized that up to 50% of the students’ clinical time could be done via a simulator in an optimally designed simulation training program. Thus, the growing use of simulators in teaching hospitals, nursing schools, military medical training, and paramedic training centers for training purposes is driving the patient simulators market.

Based on product, the patient simulators market is segmented into adult patient simulator, infant simulator, and childbirth simulator. In 2021, the adult patient simulator segment held the largest market share. Also, the same segment is anticipated to register the highest CAGR during the forecast period. Based on end user, the patient simulators market is segmented into academic institutes, hospitals, and military organizations. In 2021, the academic institutes segment accounted for the largest market share. Also, the same segment is expected to register the highest CAGR from 2022 to 2028.

Below is the list of the growth strategies done by the players operating in the patient simulators market:

In Nov-2022 – Gaumard Scientific Co., HAL S5301, the world’s most advanced interdisciplinary patient simulator, was installed at the Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing’s new state-of-the-art simulation and learning center. This was the first commercial installation of HAL S5301, which began shipping to its customers in the U.S.

In Apr-2022 – CAE Healthcare started worldwide deliveries of its newest high-fidelity paediatric patient simulator, CAE Aria. The Company ramped up production to accommodate demand for the medical manikin amid increasing challenges accessing paediatric patients for clinical training. Deliveries began after the device met the safety, health, and environmental standards of the European Union.

in Mar-2022 – Mentice announced that Siemens Healthineers China, via an official importation agent, has placed an order of ten (10) Mentice VIST simulator packages, including the Siemens Virtual Patient Link software to be bundled with the Corindus CorPath GRX Robotic system sales in China.
