Haemodialysis Catheters Market to Surpass US$ 1.8 Billion By 2028 – Covering Pre and Post COVID-19 Market Analysis

May 5th, 2021 Acumen Research And Consulting Releases

Acumen Research and Consulting, a global provider of market research studies, in a recently published report titled “Haemodialysis Catheters Market– Global Industry Analysis, Market Size, Opportunities and Forecast, 2021-2028”

The Global Haemodialysis Catheters Market size is projected to reach US$ 1.8 Bn by 2028, with a CAGR of 4.2% during 2021-2028.

A lifetime treatment for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) is hemodialysis. The progressive loss of the functioning of the liver affects patients with renal disease. Eventually, the patient needs dialysis in order to maintain a healthy life. ESRD is typically the final stage of the worldwide high prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Hemodialysis is an alternative to many vital kidney functions. The dialysis system is considered an automated renal. It is typically used to extract excess water content and waste material or kidney impurities and clean the blood of the patient when kidneys have become weakened or defective. The dialysis system pumps blood through a dialyzer as blood (which includes impurities or waste products) is drained and blood transferred to the patient through vascular surgery.

The worldwide growth of hemodialysis catheters is motivated by a variety of reasons, such as a growing number of ERD cases, an expanded number of dialysis centers, and technical advancement in catheters.

There are roughly growing numbers of patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). At the end of 2016, nearly 3.7 Mn people were diagnosed worldwide with ESRD. Of the 3.7 Mn patients, nearly three Mn were treated (both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) with kidney transplants and some 750,000 lived. For patients with renal disease, nearly 90% need hemodialysis three days a week, while 9% follow peritoneal dialysis at home. In 2015, there were roughly cases of ESRD. Most patients and their providers use a range of hemodialysis equipment products and supplies for the treatment of such a disease. In 2016 there were 329,000 hemodialysis-treated patients in the EU, with 348,000 expected to be treated by 2021. The largest ESRD prevalence in Taiwan (3,490 per Mn) followed by the United States (2,180 pmp) and Japan (2,720 pmp).

However, obesity, obesity, muscle cramps, and bone disorders are linked to hemodialysis care and many side effects associated and hemodialysis treatment such as allergies, swelling, anemia, hyperkalemia, pericarditis, hypotension. Others include inadequate wastes, clot formation in fistula or dialysis, and the onset of cardiovascular disease or rhythmic arrhythmias, among the long-term risks involved in hemodialysis; Fear of these results prevents people from being treated for hemodialysis. About 10% to 30% of patients with dialysis have the hepatitis C virus. A major disadvantage for the market is the high death rate of hemodialysis or of EOHD as regular hemodialysis.

Regional Stance

North America is expected to lead the market of catheter hemodialysis. The well-known healthcare industry in the area and the high level of awareness about renal diseases are expected to boost this regional demand. In addition, the North American hemodialysis catheter market is expected to boost improved access to health facilities and to supporting government policies in the region.

On the other hand, Asia Pacific shows immense growth potential in the hemodialysis catheter demand. It is expected that the vast pool of unmet medical needs and the growing medical tourism industry will promote the development of this regional sector.

The worldwide demand for hemodialysis catheters is strongly competitive with foreign and local vendors. Small manufacturer’s sustainability is tentative, as their income depends completely on catheter demands and health reforms in the country.

While several vendors come on the market to tap into the broad base of buyers, a few companies are able to successfully handle their revenue, distribution, and working capital.

The major players in Haemodialysis Catheter’s market follow a range of development initiatives, such as product releases, acquisitions, sales, alliances, and collaborations. Examples are

Following approval by US anti-trust authorities, Fresenius Medical Care was acquired in February 2019 as the world’s largest provider of dialysis products and services.
