American internet startup Acme Revival, has raised $9.8 million dollars since March of 2020 in a private Series A funding round. The company uses machine learning and internet bots to sell refurbished medical devices on their web platform.
Their approach to finding an “equilibrium price of particular medical devices” as indicated on their website seems to be working. As the pandemic struck in 2020, more clinics and health facilities have felt the need to increase their supply of devices with restricted budgets in mind, and revenue has grown 400% YoY for Acme.
The company has doubled its employees with plans to get to 60 people by the end of the year. Acme currently offers about 400 devices for a variety of specialties all of which can be purchased entirely online.
The announcement was made in an email sent to stakeholders late-last week. A representative from Acme Revival did not return our request for interview on Friday.
