MINNEAPOLIS—Nonin Medical, Inc., a global leader in noninvasive medical monitoring, today announced that David Hemink has been named its new CEO effective February 11, 2019. Hemink succeeds Nonin founder, Philip Isaacson, as CEO. Isaacson will remain as chief technology officer, and take on the responsibility of executive chairman.

Hemink has extensive experience as a leader and innovator in the medical device industry. Before joining Nonin as Executive Vice President of Sales in August 2018, he served as president of Cantel Medical, a leading provider of infection prevention products and services. At Cantel, he helped to drive significant, profitable growth and developed innovative infection prevention and control technologies that measurably improved outcomes for caregivers and patients alike.
Prior to Cantel, Mr. Hemink served as senior vice president of electrophysiology at Boston Scientific, a renowned global medical technology leader, and president of Bard Access Systems, a market leader in vascular access devices. Earlier in his career, he held senior sales and marketing roles at Abbott Vascular Devices, Dell EMC, and Boston Scientific. Hemink received his Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from California State University, Fresno.
