On June 1, 2018 Saphena Medical Inc. was awarded a group purchasing agreement as a Breakthrough Technology with Premier, a national healthcare improvement company. Saphena Medical’s Venapax® Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting System is the first unitary EVH system on the market that allows for the saphenous vein or radial artery to be harvested for a coronary artery bypass graft procedure in a single comprehensive system. This agreement gives Premier members access to pre-negotiated pricing for the Venapax® system.
“This partnership with Premier is extremely pivotal for our company,” says Michael J. Glennon, CEO and Director of Saphena Medical. “We’re very excited to have the opportunity to offer lower-cost access to our state-of-the-art Venapax® EVH System, which allows hospitals and doctors to continue delivering safe, lifesaving, effective patient care while maintaining cost control,” Glennon adds.
The new agreement will afford doctors and hospitals lower-cost and improved access to Venapax® for use during endoscopic vein harvesting procedures. Venapax® is a single comprehensive solution for endoscopic vein harvesting in the cardiovascular arena.
