HyperMed Imaging, a company out of Memphis, Tennessee, won FDA clearance to introduce its HyperView tissue oxygenation imaging system. The device can be used following vascular procedures, in wound care, and in patients post amputation, among other uses.
The contact-free device uses hyperspectrial imaging to assess oxygenation and point to areas of high and low hemoglobin oxygenation (O2Sat, Oxy, and Deoxy). The different areas are filled in different colors for a quick an intuitive assessment.
It’s battery operated and easily held with two hands while imaging the patient, following which one can review the scans.
