Toshiba is unveiling its new Xario 200 Platinum Series ultrasound system at the Radiological Society of North America’s (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago this week. The system is an upgrade on the popular Xario 200 and is geared toward radiologists, obstetricians, and cardiologists, offering high quality imaging and a comfortable user experience.
The system features capabilities such as Precision Imaging, Differential Tissue Harmonics (D-THI), Advanced Dynamic Flow (ADF), and Superb Micro-Vascular Imaging (SMI). The last one is a particularly unique feature to Toshiba that allows for visualization of blood flow through narrow vasculature, a capability previously not possible with ultrasound imaging.
The control panel and touchscreen interface can be customized to provide access to favorite settings and regimes, and a number of presets are already in the system that can be selected and activated with a single push of a button thanks to Toshiba’s Quick Scan and Quick Start tech.
“Toshiba Medical’s Xario 200 Platinum Series helps healthcare providers meet the demands of the changing healthcare environment by providing a cost-effective solution for advanced ultrasound imaging,” said Satrajit Misra, vice president, Marketing and Strategic Development, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc., in a statement. “With the addition of SMI, the new system prioritizes excellent patient care by making innovative imaging technologies available to a wider range of customers.”
