Hill-Rom is unveiling a new high-frequency chest-wall oscillation (HFCWO) system that wirelessly transmits data to help track how patients are adhering to airway clearance therapy at home. HFCWO is commonly used for a variety of conditions, including paralysis, cystic fibrosis, lung infections, neuromuscular abnormalities, and many others, to clear mucus from bronchial walls and help it move out of the lungs.
The VisiVest System connects to VisiView Health Portal through Qualcomm Life’s 2net Hub, essentially transferring usage data from the patient to the therapist. This allows clinicians to make sure patients stay compliant with therapy, an important aspect in helping to prevent nasty disease symptoms. The VisiView Health Portal is a cloud system that provides a quick overview of how multiple patients are adhering to therapy and allows clinicians to review how folks taken care of by their team are doing.
