Virtual reality (VR) is not only a way of watching movies and playing video games. It also lets you experience a space far from where you’re located. A weight-loss clinic in Tijuana, Mexico just performed the first live streamed bariatric surgery which you can now watch via Youtube. Though a VR headset is best for this, it’s not necessary and you can watch the show on whatever screen you’re reading this on. Simply grab and pull anywhere on the video to rotate the field of view toward whatever it is you want to look at, whether it be the surgical site or what the anesthesiologist is up to.
This stream was made possible thanks to the Obesity Control Center and ALLie 360% camera that simultaneously captures everything around itself.
