Medgadget held a Google Hangouts with John Rogers of the Rogers Research Group, about their flexible skin sensor technology to measure blood flow in vessels 1 to 2 millimeters under the skin. Flexible electronics are bound to make a huge impact on how patients are diagnosed, monitored, and treated. John Rogers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is a leader in developing flexible electronic technology. His team developed an electronic heart wrap for continuous 3D electrocardiac monitoring, stick-on patches for EEG and ECG applications, and a skin sensor for measuring blood flow, among many other things.
