At the upcoming RSNA conference in Chicago, Toshiba will be showing off their brand new Ultimax-i radiography system that can be used for X-ray exams as well as angiography procedures. The system has the smallest C-arm on the market, yet can accommodate patients up to 500 lbs.
It features a 43 x 43 cm digital flat panel detector and a wide table for easy imaging of even the most challenging patients and regions. The moving C-arm has proximity sensors to make sure the system doesn’t collide with the patient.
More details about the system are expected to be presented at RSNA at the end of November.
