Transporting critically ill patients is always a challenge. Not only do these patients have multiple IV lines but you also have to schlep along a myriad of infusion pumps, pressure monitors, drains, chest tubes, etc. So, you end up with a person or two hauling IV polls, and that results in an occasional pull of that precious femoral line from the patient. Not good! A new technology from Medovex (Atlanta, GA) called Streamline IV Suspension System, or ISS, is designed to simplify the transport by converting a free standing IV poll into a bed attachment with a click of a button.
