Barco‘s Coronis Uniti display is now the first monitor cleared by the FDA to display exams from every existing breast imaging modality. The 33 inch monitor with a 12 megapixel resolution is capable of showing both color images and DICOM-compliant grayscales at the same time.
Specifically, the Uniti is now cleared for breast MRI, breast ultrasound, and CT and ultrasound. This is on top of previous clearance to use it for mammography and breast tomosynthesis, as well as PACS data.
The screen has a few interesting features such as desktop lighting and the ability to be used as an old fashioned light box, as well as a bunch of internal technology that makes sure the color and illumination is even, and the image is stable and sharp.
