Over the last two years, Nokia and XPRIZE have collaborated to put on two Nokia Sensing XCHALLENGE competitions to “accelerate the availability of hardware sensors and software sensing technology that individuals use to access, understand, and improve their health and well-being.” Each challenge comes with a grand prize award of $525,000, along with five distinguished awards, the winners of each receiving $120,000.
The winners of the second challenge were presented with their awards live this week at Exponential Medicine 2014 conference in San Diego by Peter Diamandis, Chairman and Founder of XPrize, and Henry Tirri, CTO of Nokia.
