Anyone who has had prescriptions for more than a couple pills, each with its own schedule, knows about the headache of making sure each is taken on time, that refills are scheduled in advance, and that pill boxes are filled in correctly at the start of each week. Now a new online pharmacy is introducing a completely different way of getting and managing pills that elegantly overcomes the above challenges.
The PillPack, located in Manchester, New Hampshire, accepts prescriptions like a traditional pharmacy, but in return sends you a roll of plastic baggies each containing a set of pills that have to be taken together. Each of the baggies has a time stamp and list of pills that are inside. The time stamp on the following baggie lets you know when it’s time to take the next set of pills.
The service is now available in 31 states and costs $20 a month on top of the cost of the drugs. This includes unlimited free shipping and PillPack aims to make sure you get your refills automatically and guarantees on time delivery.
