Nordic Semiconductor out of Oslo, Norway hosted a chess tournament at CES with world champion Magnus Carlson against 20 tables of competitors with everyone wearing the company’s heart rhythm monitoring device. Our editor Shiv Gaglani was one of the lucky 20 and, driven by his excitement, won the Most Interesting Game award. The wristworn monitor records the heart rate of the user and transmits it over Bluetooth, in this case to a board showing everyone’s readings in real time. Here’s a video from the event:
