iHealth announced it will begin selling its FDA approved Wireless Smart Gluco-Monitoring System in the US. The device is Bluetooth enabled, allowing a streamlined approach to monitoring, tracking, and sharing of blood glucose levels on iOS and Android tablets and smartphones. The kit comes with a lancet and 50 test strips that require only 0.7mL of blood for a speedy 5 second test, on par with the fastest glucose meters currently on the market. It also comes loaded with other handy features, including 
the ability to check both the quantity and expiration dates of the iHealth Test Strips, and helpful reminders for the patients to take their medication at the appropriate time. For added convenience, the system also does not require strip coding.
The Wireless Smart Gluco-Monitoring system is currently available for $79.95 at ihealthlabs.com and Best Buy stores nationwide and online. The free Gluco-Smart app, which wirelessly communicates with the glucometer, is available at the Apple App Store and from Google Play. The app automatically syncs with the secure iHealth network cloud, allowing physicians to remotely access accurate patients’ glucose readings.
