Having access to a myriad of imaging modalities has helped physicians diagnose and treat all sorts of diseases, but new technologies that offer novel ways to fuse data foreshadow futuristic capabilities at the doctor’s office. Here’s an example from Microsoft of a system that brings together live video and previously taken brain scans to superimpose volumetric data onto a two dimensional scene.
