Biosense Webster, a J&J firm, has introduced its new CartoAlara Module for the company’s Carto 3 System, which combines live fluoroscopy images with those from the minimally invasive imaging system into unified, easily controllable views.
The electro-mapping technology in the Carto 3 system provides imagery of cardiac anatomy and catheter location for precise navigation within the heart.

Combined with the Carto® System Advanced Catheter Location (ACL) Technology, Fast Anatomical Mapping (FAM) capability and its CONNECTION OF CHOICE® functionality, the CartoAlara™ Module adds a new dimension to the CARTO® System’s established electroanatomical mapping accuracy, reinforcing user trust and confidence.
The CartoAlara™ Module will be commercially available in the United States and Europe starting in February 2013.
