Boston Scientific received European approval to market its INGENIO and ADVANTIO pacemakers for use in patients that are expected to be scanned under magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the future.
The pacemakers were approved in the U.S. earlier this year, but have not been cleared for use under MRI. The newly introduced Image Ready technology and FINELINETM II leads combine to make the implants compatible for use around strong magnets.
