Philips Respironics released a new smaller, lighter full-face mask for use with PAP (positive airway pressure) machines.
The Amara mask was developed to help patients with sleep apnea to easily adjust and maintain the device for added comfort and reduced frustration.
The company claims the Amara will fit 95% of all faces and adjustments are easy thanks to snap-on pads, a fine-glide forehead adjuster, and inlaid headgear tabs.
From Philips Respironics:
It has a minimalist design that looks and feels smaller, lighter, and less intimidating because it is. In fact, Amara is smaller and lighter than leading traditional full-face masks.
It’s 20% lighter and has 60% fewer parts than the leading full-face mask–helping to make this mask easy to use, easy to maintain, and easy to live with.
