Omron is jumping in on the at-home sleep monitoring fad with the release of a couple new products, the Sleepmeter HSL-101 and HSL-001 SleepDesign Lite. The HSL-101 sits on the night table next to the sleeping beauty and detects movement using radio-frequency technology.
The HSL-001 is a more traditional accelerometer-based system that is placed on the mattress and sends its data to a paired Android phone that displays the results.
It seems like the new devices will be initially released in Japan later this Spring.
