Esaote has just released a few new additions to its product line at the European Congress of Radiology. The Virtual Navigator software, which combines live ultrasound with previously acquired imagery from different modalities, now offers the Intelligent Positioning (IP) and Radar-view technologies. IP effectively tracks the location of both the ultrasound probe and the target being scanned, providing a 3D view of them. Radar-view is used during interventional procedures to locate the needle tip in real time in relation to the target identified using Intelligent Positioning.
Additionally, the company is unveiling its new 15 -22 Mhz probe for imaging anatomical elements near the surface of the skin.
