As if radiologists weren’t already targets of jealousy from overworked surgeons and ER docs, Image Information Systems, a company with offices in U.K., Germany, and U.S., is now bringing calibrated diagnostic image analysis to a grassy knoll near you.
The iQ-MOBILITY laptop features a 17 inch screen that delivers calibrated grayscale imagery at a brightness of 300 Cd/m². It also includes software for displaying of DICOM images, a study browser, and professional 3D posprocessing, along with a bunch of other add-ons that make this a truly mobile radiology platform.
Though the lady in the photo is looking at a chest X-ray from a stress-free location, the company envisions its product to be practically used by doctors at home and in support of multiple clinics from a single location.
