Brainlab (Feldkirchen, Germany) has announced the debut of VoyantLink, a cloud-based image sharing platform for clinicians, hospitals, and imaging centers. The platform also can be used for patient exam planning, templating, and other clinical applications. In addition, it allows users to access images as well as launch and employ clinical planning tools within the cloud.
As with other cloud-based image sharing clinical networks, the software enables users to send, receive, share, and save images, but it also offers clinical capabilities such as live collaboration, data enrichment, and planning applications such as digital templating, mobile applications, workflow automation, dose review, dose planning, and image fusion.
The software can be integrated with Brainlab’s existing portfolio of software for control of patient data throughout the treatment cycle.
Another benefit of the software is cost savings, according to Brainlab. “VoyantLink can decrease the costs of transfer by eliminating CDs and other manual transfer methods, and eliminate the whole process of VPNs,” said Marc Mackey, general manager of Voyant Health in an announcement. “[Facilities and physicians also can use VoyantLink] to access multiple enrichment tools that liberate clinical decision making from a particular workstation, device, or location.”
