At the Radiological Society of North America annual meeting in Chicago starting next week, where we’ll be reporting from, Wacom will be showing off its interactive pen displays for clinical applications.
Optimizing precision and productivity for treatment and procedure planning, the DTU-2231 allows radiologists and other medical professionals to draw directly on images, defining volumes, highlighting points of interest and making handwritten comments. Wacom interactive pen displays seamlessly integrate with- and enhance many of – the features offered through industry software solutions such as MedInformatix, Prowess, PACSGEAR and more. They are currently used throughout the medical industry by high-profile customers such as the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) Image-guided Radiation Therapy program, which utilizes Wacom’s interactive pen displays in conjunction with Varian Medical Systems’ Eclipse software, to deliver accurate contoured images, delineating target volumes for radiation therapy.
