Robotic news site Hizook is reporting that scientists from the Healthcare Robotics Laboratory at Georgia Institute of Technology developed a robot that is capable of performing a few basic bed bathing techniques. Although currently limited, the robot is essentially a proof of concept device, demonstrating the ability to build a robust model that can do more comprehensive cleanings. While some patients will certainly scoff at the idea of a robot giving them a bath, others will certainly welcome the privacy that a brainless nurse assistant can provide.
