Our new website HealCam, a chatroulette-like video service for people with medical problems, is less than one week old, but we’ve already been profiled on the following sites: DiabetesMine, HealthCare IT News, Nature’s Spoonful of Medicine, ScienceRoll, Stanford’s SCOPE, and Fierce Mobile Health Care.
If you don’t know, HealCam is a new service for people who have medical problems and who want to talk to others with the same condition. A person enters the site, no registration, no forms, clicks on start, chooses a medical condition from a drop down menu and is automatically connected to a random other person who wants to talk about the same disease. Here are the present choices: Back&Neck, Heart Disease, Cancer, Pregnancy and Childbirth, and Diabetes.
