A recent press release from GE reports that they are seeing a future in Web-based EMRs for private practice, as they’re introducing Centricity Advance. By branding the cloud EMR in the Centricity product family GE seems to be putting their medical IT reputation on the line, as Centricity is widely used by several large academic medical centers and enough complaints from either sector could impact the other.

Offering a combination of EMR, practice management and patient portal solutions, Centricity Advance addresses the varying challenges facing today’s small practices by offering modern technology that is simple to use and even simpler to deploy.
