The Zargis Cardioscan device and the compatible 3M Littmann Electronic Stethoscope Model 3200 have jointly won a red dot: best of the best award as part of the internationally renowned red dot award: product design 2010 competition. The Littmann electronic stethoscope reduces noise, amplifies heart sounds and transmits these wirelessly to a PC. The Cardioscan heart sound analysis software then analyzes the cardiac sounds for the identification and classification of suspected heart murmurs. We covered both devices before, see the links below. In the mean time, Zargis has also been awarded several contracts by the U.S. Army to develop prototype versions of telemedicine systems for use in cardiology in order to record, synchronize and analyze heart sounds, lung sounds and ECG signals in pediatric patients who are being cared for by remote military treatment facilities.
