More MoJo for Prostate Treatment from GreenLight HPS Laser Therapy

American Medical Systems (AMS) of Minnetonka, MN has released a new software upgrade, playfully named GreenLight MoJo (“More Joules”), that packs up to 400kJ or 45% more energy into its GreenLight HPS laser therapy system used to zap enlarged prostate or benign prostatic hyperplasia.
With improved power and performance, the system can remove more tissue and/or treat larger glands (greater than 80g) and treat a wider range of cases with a single fiber. Interestingly, the average procedure takes 50 minutes and the system has now been programmed to time-out at 150 minutes.
