Aimee Mullins was born with fibular hemimelia, a condition that left her without legs below the knees. Growing up she became an accomplished athlete, even competing in the Paralympic Games in 1996. Unlike what many might think, she doesn’t consider her missing legs a handicap. Rather, she takes advantage in her ability to change legs depending on the situation: shorter when dating a shorter guy, high speed legs for running, or custom designed wooden ones for a fashionable look.
