Medgadget is proud to participate in the 2009 DiabetesMine™ Design Challenge, the annual competition of ideas that can make the lives of diabetics better. Diabetes management relies on a plethora of medical devices, which forces both old and young patients to use pumps, meters, and injectors that often look and feel like they’re from a distant past. Amy Tenderich, the host of DiabetesMine, decided that things must change and diabetics need access to the same level of design quality as consumers in the wider world. With that in mind, the 2009 DiabetesMine™ Design Challenge is looking for practical ideas to improve the lives of diabetics, and is rewarding the best submissions with hard cash.
