Fiatlux Imaging, a company that last August received FDA approval for its volume rendering software, is rolling it out onto the latest clinical point-of-care computers. With a combination of high speed processors and software designed to be used on standard PCs, clinicians can rotate, slice through, and manipulate 3D images just like on the big machines in the radiology department. The system receives data wirelessly from the main server and is fast enough to render images locally, saving time by letting data follow the clinician from patient to patient.
