Nonin Medical, out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, became the first company to receive Continua™ certification for one of its handheld pulse oximeters. We have covered the Continua universal medical connectivity protocol in a number of posts before (see flashbacks below). Using a standard USB cable, the device can be connected to a computer or any number of future Continua certified systems, and seamlessly communicate and share its data in real time.
