Popular Mechanics is profiling ten new technologies that the magazine believes will change the world. Of special interest to us is the circulating tumor cell (CTC) detection chip developed at Massachusetts General Hospital. The device is built to detect whether a cancer has metastasized by sensing for the elusive CTC’s. We covered the device last December, and are happy to see Popular Mechanics produced a little video, attached to the magazine’s 2008 Breakthrough Awards, that demonstrates the technology.
