This is a home made breathalyzer designed for alcohol sobriety testing of singers in a karaoke bar. Seems somewhat redundant, as finding oneself in a karaoke bar generally implies an already inebriated state of mind. Probably this would have been more useful during the 60’s for the rock legends that were dropping like flies from intoxication.
From the creator:
The breathalyzer microphone is a system for the inconscpicuous collection of blood-alcohol content level data sets. In other words, you can measure a person’s sobriety with a device, that for all intents and purposes, looks no different than a standard microphone.
