Amy Tenderich over at Diabetes Mine reviews some of the interesting new drugs and devices she got a chance to see at the recent ADA 68th Annual Scientific Session conference in San Francisco. Of particular note is the OnQ all-in-one glucose testing package from Intuity Medical out of Sunnyvale, California. The device, yet to be approved by the FDA or EU’s bureaucrats, features an innovative sampling system that pricks and sucks blood directly into an internal testing strip, effectively eliminating the unpleasant steps of manually pricking and then bringing the blood up to the meter.
