Mavericks 2008, the most challenging big wave surfing contest in the world, is scheduled to take place tomorrow. After last year’s absence, the event, that happens just yards from the Medgadget international headquarters, is expected to draw crowds of onlookers, up to 100,000 or so. To get a taste of what is going to happen, head on to the San Francisco Chronicle Mavericks videos page from 2006, or to our old post: Mavericks 2006. The competition will be shown free on a live webcast at MavericksSurf.com.
