A new 21 inch medical monitor from LG.Philips LCD is being unveiled this week. Featuring an impressive resolution of more than 3 megapixels and low distortion at wide viewing angles, this may be the finest screen of this size yet developed.
LG.Philips LCD announced today that it has developed a 20.8-inch QXGA (2,048×1,536) color LCD panel for medical diagnostic equipment. It is the highest resolution panel of its size, claimed the company.
LG.Philips LCD will display the new product at the ongoing FPD International in Japan from October 24 to 26.
The company plans to begin mass producing this product in the first half of 2008.
Featuring a resolution of over three megapixels and a 600 candela brightness, the panel provides the high level of detail needed in medical devices. Meanwhile, In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology allows this display to show images at wide angles without inverting colors.
