Here’s what we know about the new Pinnacle3 System 810, currently being presented at the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) annual meeting in Minneapolis:
The new Pinnacle3 System 810 is custom built for radiation oncology to significantly improve operational efficiency. Approximately three to five times faster than previous platforms, System 810 dramatically increases performance for even the most intensive treatment planning functions. Designed to run with the Pinnacle3 Workstation version 8.0h but also available for earlier Pinnacle3 versions, System 810 began shipping in June 2007.
Expanding the capabilities and offerings of the Pinnacle3 suite even further, Pinnacle3 Web Publishing allows radiation oncology plans to be reviewed and approved from anywhere in the world via a secure Internet connection. A work-in-progress, the innovative software solution provides a secure, paperless, web-based plan publishing system that improves workflow for dosimetrists, physicists and oncologists…
The Philips-exclusive Tumor Localization (Tumor LOC) application allows radiation oncology departments to efficiently localize target volumes for radiation therapy planning. Previously only available on the Philips Brilliance CT Big Bore console, Tumor LOC is now available on the Extended Brilliance Workspace (EBW) and GEMINI TF PET/CT systems, enhancing workflow efficiency and flexibility in the radiotherapy department. When offered together with Remote Reconstruction and Pulmonary Viewer, Tumor LOC turns the EBW into a high performance 4-dimensional oncology workstation that can visualize respiratory motion from a beam’s eye view perspective.
