Last week, GE Healthcare invited journalists, covering health and medicine to an event, which Medgadget was glad to attend, where GE outlined how they’re changing medicine now, and what they’re planning for the future. Being a technology company, GE considers that investment in diagnostics is both more effective in improving quality of care, as well as being easier on the budget for health facilities in the long run. Speakers from the CEO of GE, to the President of the American Cancer Society, to the CEO of Cleveland Clinic, as well as many others, spoke of how medicine is changing, how it is often behind other industries in implementing technology, and what the potential is if current technology is utilized and future technology comes to market.
