Open Medicine Launched in O’Canada

Drs. John Hoey and Anne Marie Todkill, former editors of the Canadian Medical Association Journal, are launching a new web-based open-access publication called Open Medicine (www.openmedicine.ca). According to The Globe and Mail, this new general medical journal will not run advertisements for medical devices or drugs, presumably not to be stained by corporate influences. Our hope? That the journal becomes as successful as PLoS.
