OR-Live broadcasts videos of surgeries on the web. This isn’t guy-in-the-corner-with-a-camcorder grade video, either. Their videos usually involve a few cameras, the main surgeon, a second doctor to explain and facilitate the broadcast, and an announcer that sounds like he came from a gameshow. Few surgeries these days go through without the use of some sort of medgadget, but a recent myomectomy employing one of the greatest medgadgets of all time, the Intuitive Surgical DaVinci System, is truly more beautiful than any perfomance art.
