Dissect Medicine users can rank and submit stories, which are reviewed by other users. Only the most timely, relevant, and valuable stories go to the front page.
We’ll see how this interesting web concept applied to medical site will develop — will webheads be attracted to the same ‘healthbeat’ style medical news we get from TV, or will they go for substantive, complex stories about the latest research?
Interestingly, Dissect Medicine’s site debuts at amid rumors that Digg is not fully user driven, and was accused of being an editor’s playground.
