Everyone’s all queasy about Eric Klarenbeek’s art project, Eye Jewelry. We’re intruiged. For one, it’s painless — which is more than we can say for tattoos and piercings (though society seems to accept those barbaric body mods without … batting an eye).
Second, we’re excited by the non-art prospects of this technology. Could this be the next drug delivery system, replacing the error-prone and operator-dependent eye dropper? Maybe (or maybe it’ll cause more infections than it cures — ed). We’ll keep our eye on it.
