Battle over Guidant hits $25 billion mark, as Boston Scientific has increased its bid by $332 million. Maybe they were serious about Guidant all along, and not just prodding J&J into spending more money on damaged goods.
Either way, the Guidant saga is proving to be as entertaining and dramatic this year as it was in 2005. We’ll look forward to chronicling the intrigue and drama in the months ahead.
