An article at Israel 21c describes HyperQ™ stress test system, a product of Biological Signal Processing (BSP) Ltd. The system possesses novel super sensitive ischemia detection signal processing technology.
From the company’s website:
Traditionally, the significant frequency of the ECG signal was considered to be in the range of 0 – 100Hz. However, much evidence has accumulated during recent years indicating that higher frequency components of the signal contain valuable information for the detection of myocardial ischemia. Published works by Professor Shimon Abboud – BSP’s Scientific Advisor, and Dr. Amir Beker – BSP’s Founder and CEO, show that the development of ischemic pathologies of the heart is highly correlated with a significant pattern change in the High Frequency components of the QRS complex (during depolarization of the ventricles). They further indicate that changes in the HF QRS signal during exercise tests can play an important diagnostic role in the early detection of cardio-vascular diseases…
The HyperQ™ system features two applications: Rest ECG and Stress Test using standard stress protocols. The analysis provided by the HyperQ™ software for these tests is quick and accurate and portrays quantifiable results. Furthermore, this analysis allows an exact interpretation of the stress test results, avoiding unnecessary further investigation…
The system comprises a PC-based ECG device that can be connected to a standard treadmill and an innovative software. The system enables high resolution and wide-band ECG recording using a standard 12-lead setup that connects directly to the patient. The software includes two applications: Rest ECG and HyperQ™ Stress ECG.
The system is an FDA-approved device.
