S3 Hospital Bed Is So Good It Was Awarded Design Prize

Stryker Medical's S3 hospital/surgical bed is one of the winning entries in the 2009 Medical Design Excellence Awards. The unit, created out of a collaboration between a number of Michigan design and supply firms brought together by Stryker, is touted to have an improved clinical usability and patient experience.

Awareness and three-zone Chaperone® Bed Exit System monitor bed status and patient position to help reduce falls.

One-touch in-bed scale provides accurate weight with the patient and the bed in any position

Open architecture of S3 accepts any standard support surface, any form of traction, and is compatible with the vast majority of nurse call and networking systems

Exclusive retractable frame allows proximal location to remain essentially unchanged when the head of the bed is raised, reducing the need for patient repositioning

Stryker S3 Signature Series bed can be ordered with customized colors, wood laminate inserts, and insignia, logo or award images to support the identity of your health-care organization.
