Countact Case Remind User to Change Lenses

Countact is a contact lens case that features a built in day counter to remind you when to change the lenses to a new pair. You set a time between 14 and 30 days, and every time you put on a new pair, just click a button to reset the counter. Pretty simple.

There is a major flaw to this product. Contact lens cases must be replaced at least every 3 months and many doctors recommend monthly replacement. Cases are hotbeds for dangerous bacteria and fungi which cause eye health complications from minor eye infections to blindness.

Countact is designed to last as long as the battery lasts - they say approximately 4 to 5 months. This is beyond recommended guidelines for replacing your case and it is expensive - approximately $10. This is a good try at a worthwhile product, but there are better products on the market for tracking the replacement of contact lenses and contact lens cases.
